The first is that the couple ask for cash; the second is that they draw up a list of things they\u2019d like; and the third is when they don\u2019t take a stance on the matter!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Money or no money?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In many cases, the young couple ask for money and state this on the wedding invitation. In this case, it\u2019s simple: all you need to do is give them what they\u2019ve asked for as a wedding present \u2013 in other words, cash in a smart little envelope!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Are there any guidelines on how much money it is appropriate to give to a newlywed couple? <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, there\u2019s an unwritten rule that you should give at least as much money per person as the cost per person was \u2013 in other words, the amount the couple spent on making sure you could come along and have a good time! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>This amount can vary considerably, depending on the venue hire fee and the cost of the catering service. On average, it tends to be between 8,000 and 15,000 Ft. This is the amount per person, so if there are two of you and you\u2019re giving the money together as a wedding gift, you\u2019ll need to multiply this by two!<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When and how should one hand over that particular envelope? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bagolyvarfogado.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/eskuvoi-ajandek08.jpg\" alt=\"How and when is it appropriate to present a cash gift at a wedding?\" class=\"wp-image-3423\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Indeed, this too has its own set of rules \u2013 or at the very least, a set of customs, that\u2019s for sure! We can all agree that you can\u2019t just shove an envelope containing a wedding gift into the newlyweds\u201e hands at an inopportune moment, even if it \u201donly\u2019 contains money! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How and when should the wedding gift money be handed over? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <strong><em>bride\u2019s dance<\/em><\/strong> one of the tried-and-tested, traditional ways for the couple to collect monetary gifts from their guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another option is to step in front of the couple after dinner, but before the party really gets going, and <em><strong>Hand over the envelope whilst offering a few words of congratulations!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can you present that \u201eboring\u201d gift \u2013 money \u2013 in a creative way? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re bursting with creativity or simply aren\u2019t satisfied with the sight of a plain white envelope, why not choose a more creative way to wrap your wedding gift money? Let\u2019s look at a few examples of how you can do this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Money Cake <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Present your gift disguised as a wedding cake! It takes a bit of dexterity, but don\u2019t worry \u2013 it\u2019s not difficult to make! Stack a few round boxes on top of one another, with each one getting smaller as you go up. This will form the <strong><em>a tiered cake look<\/em><\/strong><em><strong>!<\/strong><\/em> Please fill in these <strong><em>small gifts<\/em><\/strong>OK! Tie as many as you like to the edges of the boxes <strong><em>money rolled up in a roll<\/em><\/strong>, so that they cover the edge of the box exactly.  Place some flowers or some other decoration on top of the \u201ecake\u201d!<\/li><li><strong><em>Box of sweets<\/em> <\/strong>\u2013 Take an empty sweet tin and put the money in it. We\u2019ve already written about this in several articles: these days, most couples create <em><strong>wedding website!<\/strong><\/em> All the important information is listed on the website at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"wedding schedule  (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/bagolyvarfogado.hu\/eskuvo-menete-lepesrol-lepesre\/\" target=\"_blank\">wedding schedule <\/a>from the question of gifts right through to accommodation options and the dress code. Don\u2019t worry \u2013 lots of people do it that way, but it\u2019s not the most effective approach for a list like this! <strong><em>Make sure you watch it in good time<\/em><\/strong>, to see what\u2019s on the list, because the good, easily available items will be snapped up in no time! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A personal example:<\/strong><em> A friend of mine was trying to sort out a wedding present for a friend at the very last minute! The couple had asked their guests for kitchen bits and bobs! Yes, indeed, but by the time my friend realised, the only things left on the list were items she didn\u2019t even know what they were for! He spent ages trying to find out where he could buy each item! As the saying goes: the early bird catches the worm! Well, this case is no different!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What if the couple haven\u2019t specified that they\u2019re asking for money and haven\u2019t put together a gift list? Buy them some plane tickets!
